Pokemon Let’s Go: Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go: Eevee

It’s been about a week since Pokemon Let’s Go: Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go: Eevee were revealed to the world. Today, I am going to be talking about what we know so far about the games.

  • Pokemon will be encountered simply by walking up to their overworld sprites. From there, you can throw Poke Balls or run, much like Pokemon Go. You also cannot battle them to weaken them. However, capturing Pokemon still yields experience.
  • Pokemon will follow you, much like in Yellow, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver. If they are large enough, you can ride on them.
  • The PC no longer exists. You can access caught Pokemon from your bag.
  • A feature from Pokemon Go, Combat Power, is in these games. The number represents the Pokemon’s stats and IVs. The higher the number, the more powerful the Pokemon.
  • The games themselves are compatible with Pokemon Go. You can transfer Pokemon from Go to Let’s Go. However, once a Pokemon is transferred, it cannot return to Go.
  • You can customize your partner Pokemon, either Pikachu or Eevee.
  • The games take place in Kanto and only include Pokemon from Kanto. This includes pre-evolutions and evolutions of Kanto Pokemon not in Kanto, such as Magby, Elekid, Tangrowth, and Lickilicky.
  • Team Rocket is back. Also, Mewtwo plays a big part in the story.
