A new trailer has revealed some more information about Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.
Galarian Forms have been added. These are similar to the Alolan forms. Currently, the Zigzagoon line and Weezing have these. Zigzagoon and Linoone become Dark/Normal types, similar to how Rattata and Raticate with their Alolan forms. However, Galarian Linoone has an evolution called Obstagoon, which can have Reckless and Guts as its abilities. Reckless increases the power of recoil moves such as Take Down and Double-Edge, and Guts increases your attack stat when you have a status effect (it also ignores the attack drop of a burn). Weezing becomes a Poison/Fairy type, which is unique to it. It can have Levitate or some unknown ability. We do not know for sure if Koffing also gets this form or if regular Linoone can evolve into Obstagoon.
We were also introduced to the Pikachu clone of this generation. This Pokemon is called Morpeko and it is a Electric type. However, it has an ability that changes its type from Electric to Dark. Its signature move, Aura Wheel, also changes from Electric to Dark.
There is a new feature called Poke Jobs. It functions similarly to Poke Pelago.
The antagonist team for this generation is called Team Yell.
Two new characters were revealed. Bede is similar to you in that he wants to complete the gym challenge. Marnie also wants to do this, but has Team Yell supporting her.
