In the Crown Tundra, there is a new feature called Dynamax Adventures. Here, you will get a rental Pokemon and three teammates. You will face off against four Dynamaxed Pokemon, the fourth of which is a legendary or Ultra Beast. If you manage to defeat the Dynamaxed Pokemon, you can choose to capture it (regardless of what it is, it will have a 100% catch rate). You can then choose to use this Pokemon instead. The rental Pokemon will all be level 65 and the first three Pokemon you face will be as well. One teammate can choose to Dynamax their Pokemon once per battle. Throughout the adventure, you may encounter a scientist, who will trade Pokemon with you, a backpacker, who can offer you hold items, and berries, which can restore your Pokemon’s HP by up to 50%. At the end of the adventure, you can choose which of the Pokemon you’ve captured, if any, you want to keep. These Pokemon have a 1 in 300 chance of being shiny, and those odds go down to 1 in 100 if you have the shiny charm.
Once you capture five Ultra Beasts, Poipole will appear outside the entrance. It will join your party without a battle, although it is shiny locked.
