Skwovet is a melee defender. A unique feature this character has is that it can store and drop berries in its tail. These berries can be picked up by anyone to restore a little HP, or by this character to affect some of its moves. The ability it has, Cheek Pouch, allows it to recover HP from any berry, even if it doesn’t normally (i.e. eating a Tamato Berry will speed it up, but it will also restore HP). Eating berries also causes it to store one in its tail, which it can drop if it is hit with an attack. It has a choice of two moves, Tackle and Defense Curl. The first works similar to Swinub’s Tackle, but it works differently if it used while another one of its moves, Covet, is active. Instead of choosing a direction to dash to, any opponent in front of Skwovet will take damage. Depending on how many berries it had stashed, it will use all of them, and the cooldown will be reduced more if it had more berries. The other grants Skwovet a shield, and drops a berry in front of it. At level 5, Skwovet evolves into Greedent and replaces Defense Curl with either Covet or Stuff Cheeks. The first has Greedent run around as you would normally move it, but any opponent in its way takes damage and is thrown into the air. It also drops berries during this time, which, if eaten by Greedent, will speed it up. In addition, one of the other two moves it can learn, Belch and Bullet Seed, can be used while this move is being used. The other move has Greedent drop several berries, which can be eaten to restore HP. If it’s already at max HP, doing so will grant Greedent a shield. Additionally, if Greedent sees a berry during this move, it will speed up for a short period of time. At level 7, Tackle gets replaced with either Bullet Seed or Belch. The first does more damage the more berries the user has stashed away, as well as slowing down opponents. Belch has largely the same effect, but it consumes all the berries in its tail. The more berries it had, the shorter the cooldown. At level 9, Greedent learns the Unite Move Berry Belly Flop. This has Greedent leap to a chosen area, which deals damage to any opponents nearby, as well as throw them into the air. This also resets the cooldown of its other moves, and, for a short period of time, there will be no limit to how many berries it can store in its tail. At level 11, Stuff Cheeks will drop more berries, and Covet will deal more damage (in addition to the attack increase from leveling up) and it will drop berries more frequently. At level 13, both Bullet Seed and Belch will deal more damage (again, in addition to the attack increase from leveling up).
