The Eevee that evolves into Espeon has similarities to the one that evolves into Sylveon. Its ability is not Adaptability but rather Anticipation, which will negate a hindrance from one move and make it immune to others for a short period of time. It does have a cooldown, though, so it is possible for this Eevee to be affected by hindrances. Eevee still has Swift, but instead of Baby Doll Eyes, it has Growl, which works similarly but it deals more damage but it only affects movement speed (Baby Doll Eyes decreases attack speed too). At level 4, Eevee evolves, and its basic attack will be boosted after a set amount of time, which also decreases their movement speed if it hits. Its ability also changes to Magic Bounce, which has the same effect as Anticipation, but also deals damage to the Pokemon that tried to inflict the hindrance and decrease their movement speed. Swift gets replaced with either Stored Power or Psyshock. The first can deal more damage if psychic blasts are stored, which can be done if a basic attack results in a critical hit or after a certain amount of time passes. Up to five blasts can be stored, but regardless of how much damage this move deals, Espeon will get increased movement speed for a short period of time. Psyshock will throw psychic projectiles in a direction. As an added bonus, if a Pokemon gets hit by all of them, they will be unable to act for a short period of time. At level 6, Growl gets replaced with either Psybeam or Future Sight. If the first one lands, it will decrease movement speed. It can also hit any nearby opponents, slowing them if the first Pokemon was affected. These split rays will deal more damage if the first Pokemon hit had more HP. The other locks on to an opponent, and deals damage a few seconds later. This attack can deal damage to any opponents nearby as well. It will deal more damage if the locked on Pokemon has less HP. Any opponent that is locked on, other moves that Espeon uses will be aimed at it whenever possible. Any time a move is used on a locked on Pokemon, Future Sight’s cooldown will decrease. If the locked on Pokemon faints before Future Sight takes effect, Espeon will get a single use of a powered up Psyshock or Stored Power. Psyshock will cause an explosion that deals damage to anyone nearby, and Stored Power will have the max number of blasts stored and restore Espeon’s HP when the blast hits. At level 8, Espeon learns its Unite Move Psychic Solare. This creates an area where any Pokemon nearby are thrown and suspended in the air. Then there is an explosion which shoves the suspended Pokemon and deals massive damage. At level 10, Psyshock’s projectiles will be faster, and Stored Power will deal more damage if the opponent has less HP. At level 12, Psybeam will cause hit Pokemon to be unable to act instead, and Future Sight will cause Espeon’s moves to deal more damage to the Pokemon it is locked onto.
