Sableye is a melee supporter. Its ability, Prankster, allows it to enter stealth (similar to how Frogadier/Greninja can after using Smokescreen) and have its movement speed increase if it’s outside the visible range of opponents for long enough. This wears off and has a cooldown if a an opponent sees you. While you are invisible, the opponents do get an indicator that you are nearby, although they will not know exactly where you are. While in stealth, hitting an opponent will result in it being boosted, and them moving away from Sableye, unable to act until they stop. It has a choice of two moves, Astonish and Thief. The first deals damage and decreases movement speed, and the effect is greater if the opponent is hit from behind. The other steals some of the opponent’s Aeos energy should they have any. If not, they are left unable to act for a brief period of time. At level 4, Thief gets replaced with either Shadow Sneak or Knock Off. The first allows Sableye to enter stealth. The other has Sableye move in a designated direction, then back to where it was, attacking around itself while doing so. Any opponents hit will be left unable to act for a brief period of time, and it can be used again shortly afterwards, but it will only attack in front of itself, and throw any struck opponents. Additionally, if any of these connect, opponents will drop some of their Aeos energy, and be prevented from picking any up for a few seconds. If an opponent does not have any Aeos energy, the duration for which they cannot act is longer. At level 6, Astonish gets replaced with either Confuse Ray or Feint Attack. The first fires a ray which, if it hits, makes opponents confused. While confused, they can only use basic attacks, and they will target any ally Pokemon if they’re close enough. If there aren’t any, they will instead go for nearby wild Pokemon. If there are none, they will go for opponents instead. The other has Sableye throw fake Aeos energy, that, if an opponent picks up, they will take damage over time and have their movement speed decrease. There can be a total of three reserves saved for this move, but it can be in five areas at once. At level 8, Sableye learns the move Phantom Ambush. This move has Sableye shoot light from its eyes, and different effects are applied depending on whether the opponent is facing Sableye or not when used. If they are, they tart being sent back to base forcibly, unless they take damage prior, in which case, they are left unable to act for a brief period of time. Otherwise, they have their movement speed decreased.
