Zacian is a ranged all-rounder. Its basic attack, if used consecuctively, will have different effects for the second, third, and fourth hit. The second decreases movement speed, the third restores the user’s HP, and the fourth reduces the cooldown of its moves. Zacian’s ability is Intrepid Sword, which allows it to use Aeos energy in order to make its next basic attack boosted, which have a wider range and deal more damage proportional to the opponent’s HP. Additionally, it can use a boosted version of one of its moves once. Additionally, knocking out or assisting in knocking out a Pokemon will cause the defeated Pokemon to drop more energy than normal. The more energy is used, the longer the duration. It has a choice of two moves, Quick Attack and Slash. The first is a dash that has the user stop in place when it hits an opponent. When boosted, it incapacitates struck opponents. The other can strike multiple opponents, but more is done to the targeted Pokemon. When boosted, it deals more damage, and has a wider area of effect. At level 5, Slash gets replaced with either Metal Claw or Sacred Sword. The first has the user dash forward after sending a shock wave in a designated direction. The shock wave decreases movement speed of hit opponents, and if Zacian strikes an opponent while dashing forward, its attack speed will be increased for a brief period of time. When boosted, the shock wave will travel farther, be bigger, and slow down opponents more than usual. The other has Zacian slash around itself and draws a circle on the ground, which decreases any struck opponent’s movement speed. Moments later, a second slash will occur inside the circle, which leaves any hit opponents unable to act for a brief period of time. Landing this boosts Zacian’s attack and allows it to partially ignore opponent’s defenses briefly. When boosted, it has a wider range, and the time between the first and second slash is decreased. At level 7, Quick Attack gets replaced with either Agility or Play Rough. The first removes any hindrances and increases Zacian’s speed for a short period of time. When boosted, it lasts for longer and Zacian also gets a shield. The other works similarly to Azumarill’s Play Rough, except its movement speed doesn’t increase and it instead is a dash attack, which has it leap and deals damage when it lands, which can hit multiple Pokemon, and any damage taken after doing so is reduced. When boosted, it can’t be stopped and it leaps farther. At level 9, it learns its Unite Move, Sovereign Sword. This has Zacian ready itself by using Aeos energy, at which point it is immune to hindranfes. It then results in a large slash in front of itself, and the damage and area of effect can be boosted the more energy is used. At level 11, Metal Claw has a reduced cooldown, and the time between the first and second slash for Sacred Sword is lessened. At level 13, the speed increase from Agility is heightened, and Play Rough will leave opponents unable to act for longer. One downside this Pokemon is it that it can only have two held items instead of the usual three.
