Pokemon Unite: Umbreon

The Eevee that evolves into Umbreon is different from the other ones, in the sense that its the only one who is a defender and uses melee attacks. It ability is Anticipation, which works similarly to Espeon’s, except it only prevents it from being shoved, left unable to act, or thrown in the air, and until the cooldown is over, it won’t activate again. As Umbreon, it gets Inner Focus, which gives it the added benefit of making it immune to hindrances briefly and its defenses will increase. Its basic attack will be boosted every third use, and it restores the user’s HP once it connects; the HP recovered will be greater the lower the user’s HP is. Similar to the other Eevees, it gets Swift, which deals damage and marks opponents. While it’s near marked opponents, its movement speed is increased, and whenever it lands a move on it, its next basic attack will be boosted. Its other initial moveset is Fake Tears, which grants the user a shield and lowers any struck opponent’s defenses. At level 4, Eevee evolves into Umbreon, and Swift gets replaced with either Foul Play or Mean Look. The first is a dash attack that, if it lands, decreases the struck opponent’s movement speed, and allows it to be used once more, which has the same effect, but also shoves the opponent, and deals damage proportional to their attack stat. The other locks an opponent into a small circular area that it cannot exit from while it lasts. While Umbreon is in this area, all its basic attacks will be boosted. At level 6, Fake Tears will be replaced with either Wish or Snarl. The first allows Umbreon to cast an effect on itself or an ally, which reduces incoming damage, and restores their HP after a set amount of time. The other creates an area around Umbreon that moves with it which deals damage, decreases opponent’s attacks and movement speeds, and grants Umbreon a shield. Once the move finishes, any opponent left around will be left unable to act briefly, and their attacks will decrease even further. At level 8, Umbreon gets the Unite Move Moonlight Prance, which has it leap upwards, absorbing the shields from any opponents nearby. Once it lands, any opponents nearby will be left unable to act briefly. While this move is active, Umbreon will recover HP if it’s not in combat, and will absorb shields partially from any nearby opponents. At level 10, after using Foul Play, the next basic attack is guaranteed to be boosted, and Mean Look will last for longer. At level 12, Wish will reduce more damage and recover more HP, and Snarl will leave opponents unable to act for longer.
