Mimikyu is a melee all-rounder with the ability Disguise. If Mimikyu is struck by an attack, its HP will decrease by a set percentage of its max HP, but it will be impervious to any sort of damage for a brief period of time. Additionally, whoever used the move against Mimikyu will have a mark on them, which will increase Mimikyu’s movement speed when approaching them as well as the amount of damage it deals to them. Mimikyu will naturally return to its Disguised Form after a set amount of time, but it can decrease this duration by knocking out opponents. Its basic attack will be boosted every third use or after using any move, and it’ll strike twice with a larger range. It has a choice of two moves: either Astonish or Scratch. The first is just a high-powered attack with no special effects, while the other has Mimikyu charge forward and slow down struck opponents. It can be used again if it lands the first time, dealing additional damage dependent on how much HP the opponent has left; the less they have, the more it deals. At level 5, Astonish gets replaced with either Shadow Claw or Play Rough. The first is an upgraded version of Scratch, with the added effect of healing Mimikyu if it lands. Additionally, landing a basic attack on an opponent will decrease its cooldown by a second, and using this move again will result in more strikes (up to four). However, those will be lost if Mimikyu doesn’t use this move within five seconds of getting an additional hit. The other works similarly to Azumarill’s and Zacian’s, although it decreases their movement speed for a brief period of time instead of leaving them unable to act. At level 7, Scratch gets replaced with either Shadow Sneak or Trick Room. The first has Mimikyu extend its shadow in a designated direction, which not only can pass through walls, but it also reaches farther if it has to go through one. Any opponent hit by this will take increased damage from Mimikyu based on how little HP they have left (similar to Scratch’s second attack). Using this move again will have Mimiku warp to the marked opponent and deal damage to them, and makes it such that the mark will stay for longer. Knocking out a marked Pokemon will reset this move’s cooldown and restores some of Mimikyu’s HP. The other creates an area which will make it such that any move that would apply a movement speed decrease to Mimikyu will instead increase its movement speed, and it’ll take reduced damage from Pokemon outside the area. At level 9, Mimikyu gets its Unite Move Play With Me, which traps an opposing Pokemon and grants Mimikyu a shield. This move can hit up to seven times, but this number can be reduced if its shield is broken. At level 11, Shadow Claw will deal additional damage based on how much HP the struck opponent has left, and Play Rough will boost Mimikyu’s movement speed briefly after the attack is used. At level 13, Shadow Sneak and Trick Room will have reduced cooldowns.
