Falinks is a melee all-rounder with the ability Battle Armor, which reduces the damage taken from critical hits, increases the maximum amount of Aeos energy it can hold to 60, and allows it to go into three different formations, with the default being Column . Its basic attack becomes boosted every third use, which apply a slowing effect to struck opponents and reduces the cooldown of one of its moves. It initially has a choice of two moves, Tackle and Bulk Up. The first is a dash attack will guarantees the next basic attack is boosted, while the others works similarly to Machop’s in that it increases Falinks’ basic attack speed, attack, and defense briefly. At level 4, Tackle gets replaced with either Megahorn or Iron Head. Both of these moves grant a shield upon landing, with the first being less powerful version of Tackle that shoves struck opponents, and the other having Falinks leap to a designated location and slow struck opponents. At level 6, Bulk Up gets replaced with either No Retreat or Beat Up. The first shoves opponents in front of it, slows movement speed while moving backwards, and prevents it from changing direction. In return, damage taken from the front is reduced and attack is increased. The other has Falinks dash and go into Dispatch formation, which sends out two troopers to opposing Pokemon it hits, who will attack continuously on their own until they take too much damage or if the distance between them and the brass becomes too much. Both of these formations will affect how Iron Head and Megahorn are executed. In No Retreat formation, Iron Head will have a shorter range but a wider area of attack, and Megahorn will deal more damage based on how high their maximum HP is. In Dispatch formation, Iron Head will call back the troopers, shoving opponents they hit on their way back, and the away troopers will also use a weakened version of Megahorn. At level 9, it gets its Unite Move Dust Devil Formation, which has all five troopers circle around the brass for a few moments, which deal damage to every struck opponent and slows them down. Damage taken by the troopers while this move is being used will be reduced. At level 10, Megahorn’s shield will be more durable, and Iron Head will deal an additional 2% max HP damage, which is capped at 400 damage. At level 12, in No Retreat formation, it will have increased attack and less damage taken from the front in addition to the stat increase from leveling up, and Beat Up will restore HP when it lands.
