Pokemon Unite: Empoleon

Piplup is a melee All-rounder whose ability is Torrent, which grants it a gauge that fills whenever it deals damage to opponents, but also naturally over time. If the gauge exceeds a certain amount when a move is used, it will function differently while consuming the entirety of it. It has a choice of two moves, either Peck or Water Gun. Both these moves simply deal damage and will deal more when boosted by Torrent. At level 5, it evolves into Prinplup and Peck gets replaced with either Aqua Jet or Metal Claw. Both of these have it dash, with the first increasing its basic attack speed briefly while the other shoves opponents. When boosted by Torrent, Aqua Jet lowers the special defense of struck opponents, while Metal Claw grants it a shield. At level 7, Prinplup evolves into Empoleon and Water Gun gets replaced with either Hydro Cannon or Whirlpool. The first leaves struck opponents unable to act briefly, while the other creates a vortex around itself that slowly reduces the HP of opponents within in while restoring the user’s HP. When boosted by Torrent, Hydro Cannon summons an independent whirlpool that acts similarly to the other attack, while Whirlpool will throw struck opponents, deal more damage, and heal more HP, while ending the attack with a slash. At level 9 it gets its Unite Move Sovereign Slide, which has it dash in a designated direction and throwing any struck opponents. Additionally, it summons a whirlpool around it that slows opponents while active. At level 11, Aqua Jet will have a reduced cooldown and Metal Claw’s shield will be tougher. At level 13, Hydro Cannon will have a shorter cooldown when it lands, and Whirlpool will deal more damage in addition to the power boost from leveling up.
