Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: Samus

Samus, otherwise known as the Bounty Hunter Extraordinaire, is back again for the new Smash Bros. installment. She has been on the roster since the original game, and in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, you were able to play as her other form, Zero Suit Samus. Brawl treated them as the same character. In the new Smash game, the game treats them as two separate characters. Using her final smash would change her form in Brawl, while using her final smash in Smash 4 will not change her form. I will be analyzing Samus’s first set of special moves.

Her neutral special is Charge Shot. This move can be charged and held. The charge is lost is Samus is KO’d. It can do anywhere from 3% damage to 25% damage depending on how big the charge is. This is a useful move, but it can be pocketed, reflected, or absorbed. Be careful who you use this against. They can use your move against you or to help themselves.

Her side special is Missile. There are two kinds: homing and super. Homing missiles deal less damage and travel slower but home in on any enemy. The super missile does more damage and travels faster, but only travels in a straight line. To use the homing missile, hold in the same direction as you shot the missile. To use the super missile, just press the direction you want to shoot the missile in. This move can be pocketed or reflected.

Her up special is Screw Attack. This move can deal multiple hits to anyone who gets caught up in it.

Her down special is Bomb. If Samus is near this when it explodes, she will jump up a little. If the bomb hits anyone, it will cause 4% damage, while the explosion will cause 5% damage. This move can be pocketed.

Who do you like more: Samus or Zero Suit Samus.
