Pokemon Unite: Buzzwole

Buzzwole is a melee all-rounder. It has a “muscle gauge”, which, if full, can unleash a more powerful attack (it gets full at six). This muscle gauge will naturally deplete over time if certain attacks are not used on opponents. Its basic attack increases it by one per use. If the gauge is full, a basic attack will also restore HP. It has a choice of two moves, Mega Punch and Fell Stinger. The first works similarly to Dynamic Punch, but there’s no special effect. It does increase the muscle gauge, though. The other uses all of the muscle gauge, dealing more the fuller the gauge was. If it KOs an opponent, Buzzwole will restore HP. At level 5, Fell Stinger gets replaced with Superpower or Leech Life. Both use the entirety of the muscle gauge. Buzzwole will grab an opponent and slam them to the ground, dealing more damage the fuller the gauge was. It also grants a shield, which will also be tougher the fuller the gauge was. The other also grabs the opponent and restores the user’s HP. It deals more hits and more damage per hit the fuller the gauge was. It is possible for the opponent to escape if Buzzwole is hit or if the opponent uses an Eject Button. At level 7, Mega Punch gets replaced with either Smack Down or Lunge. Both of these increase the muscle gauge for every hit. The first is a two part attack, with the first one being an uppercut that throws the opponent into the air and the second being a slam to the ground. More than one Pokemon can be hit by the slam. The other has Buzzwole leap to an area, and lowers any nearby opponents’ attack for a short period of time. After it is used, it also increases Buzzwole’s movement speed for a short period of time. At level 9, Buzzwole learns its Unite Move, Ultra Swole Slam. This move damages all opponents in an area, then targets the opponent with the lowest HP. At level 10, each hit of Leech Life will be stronger than the previous, and Superpower’s cooldown will go down to zero if Buzzwole’s muscle gauge reaches the maximum. At level 12, Lunge will increase Buzzwole’s attack if it lands, and the more Pokemon that are hit, the greater the increase will be. For Smack Down, each hit will increase the muscle gauge by two and the slam will have a wider range. Buzzwole’s ability is Beast Boost, which causes its movement and attack speed to increase for a short period of time every time it gets an assist or KO.
