Toon Link, otherwise known as the Wind-Waking Warrior, is making his second appearance in the Smash Bros. Series. He is mainly just a clone of Link, but he is less of a clone than other characters. His moves are the same, but with different effects. Although his attacks are weaker and is lighter than Link’s, he can move quicker. Plus, since Toon Link is smaller than Link, the Hylian shield blocks more of his body than Link’s does. I will be analyzing his first set of special moves.
His neutral special is the Hero’s Bow. It deals about 4% damage uncharged, and 12% damage fully charged. These arrows fly for longer than Link’s do, but they are slower.
His side special is Boomerang. This attack deals damage on the return, while Link’s does not. It can deal anywhere from 3% to 8% damage.
His up special is Spin Attack. While Link’s version knocks characters away with a single hit, Toon Link’s draws in anyone unfortunate enough to be near him.
His down special is Bomb. Not much different from Link’s besides the looks.
