Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: Pit

Pit, otherwise known as the Captain of Lady Palutena’s Guard, is back for another installment of Smash Bros. He now has another clone known as Dark Pit. Both of them have the similarities and differences, but each person should use the character that they are better with. For instance, Pit’s arrows are weaker than Dark Pit’s, but they fly for more time. I will be analyzing Pit’s first set of special moves.

His neutral special is Palutena’s Bow. This move deals between 3% and 8% damage depending on how long it is charged for. The charge can technically be prolonged forever if you keep changing which direction the arrow is going to be fired in, but it fires immediately after being charged and cannot be held. The arrow can change direction while it is being charged and while it is in the air. This move can be reflected, absorbed, or pocketed.

His side special is Upperdash Arm. This move deals 11% if it is dealt on the ground and 9% in the air. This move reflects projectiles at roughly 45 degrees.

His up special is Power of Flight. This move deals absolutely no damage and its main purpose is for recovery. The direction in which Pit flies can be changed before he takes off.

His down special is the Guardian Orbitars. These are mainly just used as reflectors, as any projectile will be thrown straight back at 1.5 times the power as the original projectile. They can push foes back a bit if they are right next to Pit when he uses this move. He is protected only from his sides, not above or below him. The orbitars can also be broken if they take enough damage. At that point, they will take 10 seconds to regenerate.

Who do you like more: Pit or Dark Pit?
